10/3/09 A Wal Mart in GA
As we were traveling toward FDR State Park, we needed to stop for the night. We found an Elk's Lodge and Barry went in to check on space availability. He came out and said that they did not actually have camping and also that they appeared "to be from the shallow end of the gene pool and that we would probably be wise to look elsewhere." We drove to the next Elk's Lodge to find that it had a "For Sale" sign in the lawn. So. . . . we spent our first night at a Wal Mart. For those who want to try this, don't park in the back even tho it seems that there would be less traffic noise and dogs would have more space to run. All was well until they started restocking the store in the middle of the night. Oh boy, loudspeakers, lift trucks, people yelling. . . the traffic might have been better.
