9/10/09 Ferry Travels, NC

There is a ferry that accommodates our motor home and tow car that travels from Hatteras Island to Ocracoke Island. It takes about 40 minutes and is free. Also, there is a toll ferry from Ocracoke to Cedar Island which takes about 2-1/2 hours. Today we took both of these. We visited a beach that is part of a national park in between the two rides. It was wonderful. . . we were the only people on the beach and the dogs could run at will.
