Yesterday morning we left Milan, drove thru a small portion of Pennsylvania and into New York. As we were going thru Silver Creek, NY, we saw flood damage caused by the storm the previous night. We watched as people were sweeping mud from their homes and businesses. All sorts of "Road Closed" and "Detour" signs, but no identifiable way to get out of town and out of their way. Took about an hour of driving around to find a way to the freeway. Saw the news report of this disaster on the Today Show this morning.
Last night we stayed at a Moose Lodge overlooking Lake Erie. The view was beautiful. This morning we took the dogs for a beach walk. . . they were happy for the freedom to run.
